Program Description
Destination Horizon Grants support researchers affiliated with eligible Canadian post-secondary institutions to build capacity, foster existing partnerships, and further develop networks and/or consortia with member states and associated countries, with the ultimate goal of applying to Horizon Europe—Pillar II calls for proposals.
Value: $15K for 1 year from SSHRC; $15K matched funds provided by the VPRI office
Institutional Requirements: Only 3 submissions per institution are allowed per competition
- An institutional letter is required to accompany the SSHRC submission, confirming the $15K matching funds for each submitted application.

Please consult Internal Selection Guidelines for application requirements and submission procedures. Please send proposals to kellyl.cubbon@ubc.ca by 12pm on the internal deadline.
An internal selection committee will select up to three eligible applications to submit to SSHRC. Adjudication will be based on 1) eligibility of applicants and European partners; 2) eligibility of budget items; 3) readiness to pursue Horizon Europe funding.
