Campus Land Use

As the University evolves, so will members of the campus community. Academic, social, economic and environmental needs will change, but land resources will remain limited and finite. To accommodate future growth and sustainable development, Campus + Community Planning sets guidelines for UBC land use and area planning based on UBC’s overall vision and planning policies.

Exterior lands on UBC’s Okanagan campus are available for research and teaching purposes where proposals are relevant to UBC’s academic mission, and where confirmed on a case by case basis as feasible through a planning and operations review. All projects will be assessed first on research and academic merits, and if successful will then be cleared through a planning land-use regulations and operations review.

Please submit the Letter of Intent below to ORS for consideration.  Note that a decision generally takes 6-8 weeks, and that you may be contacted for further information and clarification during this period.
