Program Description

The PromoScience Program from NSERC provides financial assistance to organizations engaging young Canadians in science and engineering (including mathematics and technology). Organizations can apply for funding for periods of up to three years.

PromoScience fosters hands-on learning experiences for elementary and high school students and their educators. Grants can be used to enhance or deliver programs, as well as to create new initiatives. They also cover operational costs, such as salaries (excluding the applicant’s), travel, postage, materials, and supplies, as long as these expenses promote science and engineering.

It’s important to note that these grants cannot be used for research purposes. More information about eligible expenses can be found in the Use of Grant Funds section of the PromoScience Grants Guide, which may be updated without notice.
