Program Description
The Partnership Development Grant (PDG) funding opportunity is intended for projects, 1-3 years in duration, that aim to advance social sciences and humanities research’s potential for influence, benefit and impact, within and beyond postsecondary institutions. Through the fostering of new and leveraging of existing relationships PDG funding supports formal partnerships between postsecondary institutions and/or organizations of various types to:
- develop research and/or related activities in the social sciences and humanities—these can include knowledge mobilization and the meaningful involvement of students and emerging scholars—by fostering new partnerships with existing and/or potential partners; or
- design and test new partnership approaches for research and/or related activities that can result in best practices or models—these can either be adapted by others or have the potential to be scaled up to a regional, national or international level.

How to Apply
UBC Okanagan submission guidelines
Applicants who are working with private sector partners must complete risk assessments of their partners/projects and submit them as part of their complete grant application. Risk assessment forms must be submitted to research.security@ubc.ca prior to grant submission, at least three business days prior to the internal deadline.
Applicants must submit in the portal by the UBCO Internal Deadline and send a PDF of the submitted application to ORS to complete internal submission. Applications submitted by the internal deadline can be re-opened by ORS for applicants if a small adjustment is required.
